Why we use your data
- Bets and transactions: processing wagers, deposits and withdrawals, including card and online payments.
- The service itself: providing games and related features.
- Customer care: setting up and looking after your account.
- Required checks: identity and other verification.
- Marketing: promotions from 1Red and selected partners, only if you opted in.
- Legal compliance: anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing obligations.
- Fraud prevention: watching for fraud, terms abuse and irregular gaming.
- Analysis: voluntary surveys and statistics on aggregated data.
Identity verification and fraud prevention
As a gambling operator, 1Red is legally required to process player data, and knowing who each player is lies at the core of that requirement. Documents can be requested to confirm an account, to clear a deposit or withdrawal or to investigate possible fraud, either because 1Red decides to or because the law demands it.
Information can also come lawfully from outside vendors such as anti-fraud services. The aim is to stop anyone from using your identity or your money, and to keep criminal funds off the platform.
Who receives your data
- The group and its partners: related companies and business partners under the required agreements.
- Authorised staff: the DPO, the money-laundering officer, payment and anti-fraud analysts, support, retention and VIP teams, each bound by confidentiality.
- Payment companies: needed to complete payments; Paysafe processes most card transactions.
- Official bodies: regulators and police when the law, the licence or an investigation calls for it.
- Service vendors: hosting, analytics, marketing and e-mailing providers held to the same standards.
- A buyer of the business: in a merger or takeover, after you are told by e-mail.
Your personal data is not sold or rented to anyone.
Transfers to other countries
To process payments, provide games or verify players, data may need to leave the EU, EFTA and EEA. When it does, 1Red relies on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, in line with the GDPR.
How long we keep your data
Data is kept after account closure for as long as the law requires and is used only when authorities need it in financial, fraud or money-laundering matters. Under anti-money-laundering rules that means a minimum of five years from your last transaction or the closure of the account, which is why erasure cannot be granted earlier. Anonymised derivatives may be retained to improve content.
How we protect your data
- Personal credentials: only your unique ID and password open the account.
- Two-factor authentication: available to every player as extra protection.
- Confidentiality commitments: signed by all staff who handle player data.
- Binding contracts: processors must meet the same data protection standard.
Cookies
1Red uses three kinds of cookies: required ones that make navigation and member areas work, functional ones that remember settings such as language or region, and advertising ones that measure campaigns and registrations; third-party providers also place cookies. Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser is possible, but some features may then stop working.
Your rights and how to use them
- A copy of your data: free of charge, on request.
- Corrections: fix wrong or incomplete information, with proof where needed.
- Deletion: where 1Red no longer has a legal basis to keep the data.
- Objection: to processing that relies on legitimate interests.
- Restriction: a temporary halt to processing in specific cases.
- Portability: certain data in a form you can take to another controller.
- Opting out: withdraw marketing consent in your profile settings at any time.
- Complaint: to a supervisory authority.
Send any request to the data protection officer at [email protected]; identity may be confirmed first. Article 77 of the GDPR lets you complain to a supervisory authority, particularly in the country where you live or work or where the issue arose.
Age limit
Only adults aged 18 or over may use 1Red. If an account turns out to belong to someone younger, it is suspended and investigated.

This policy is revised from time to time; 1Red tries to inform players of changes, yet a regular look is advisable, and continued use implies acceptance. For privacy questions write to [email protected], or see our contact page. Account rules are in our terms and conditions.
